Patrick Hughes, CFP®

Patrick, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), joined Hughes Financial Services, LLC, in April of 2014 and works closely with the clients in evaluating investments, creating retirement plans, reviewing portfolio design and tax planning. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in the insurance industry for over a decade, working directly with individuals to evaluate personal liability policies, medical expenses, wage replacement and negotiate bodily injury claims. Patrick’s experience working one-on-one with individuals in the insurance industry has been invaluable in his transition to becoming a Certified Financial Planner®.
Being independent allows Patrick the ability to seek out the best tools, resources and strategies to help his clients work towards the goals that are most important to them. By partnering with individuals and families in or nearing retirement, he is able to offer his clients strategic plans that will help build, manage and distribute their wealth. Patrick specializes in all aspects of financial planning including:

Patrick completed the University of Virginia’s Certified Financial Planner® program in 2016 and is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia) with a Bachelor of Arts in History and minors in Political Science and Communications.
He is an active member of the National Capital Financial Planning Association (NCFPA) and holds a FINRA Series 65 registration.
Patrick and his wife, Heather, live in Leesburg, VA, and have four children who keep them active in their local community with elementary school, sports and social activities.
